The invention relates to a horseshoe according to the preamble of claim 1.
A horseshoe is a flat metallic object shaped according to the outer contours of a hoof, which is struck against the hooves of a hoofed animal to counteract the wear of this hoof.
The disadvantage of this is that horseshoes are heavily worn during their use and must be replaced frequently.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a horseshoe of the type mentioned, with which the mentioned disadvantages can be avoided, and with which in particular the life of a horseshoe can be extended.
This is achieved by the features of claim 1 according to the invention.
This results in the advantage that a reliable protection of the outer circumferential surface can be achieved by the coating of the outer lateral surface of the horseshoe by means of a powder coating layer. A powder coating process is advantageously a particularly economical and environmentally compatible coating process, whereby a high recovery rate of the unused paint in the coating process is possible. Furthermore, a powder coating layer is particularly easy to apply and has good durability and mechanical resistance. Due to the electrostatic nature of the powder coating process, the layer thickness at the edges, which are particularly exposed to heavy wear, higher, whereby a particularly good protection against wear can be achieved. Furthermore, by means of a powder coating process, a particularly wide variety of different pigments can be used. As a result, in particular the outer lateral surface can be provided with pigments having a signal effect, which makes the ungulate studded with the horseshoe clearly visible even in poor visibility. Due to the high resistance of a powder coating layer, the signal effect can be obtained for a long time. As a result, such ungulates can be seen well in poor visibility conditions, whereby their safety in the 2/9 ·· ················································································· · · ···· ······· · · * .. · * .. · 2 *: 33961 / lh
Road traffic is increased and these, for example, in the case of running away, can be easily recovered.
The subclaims relate to further advantageous embodiments of the invention.
It is hereby expressly referred to the wording of the claims, whereby the claims at this point are incorporated by reference into the description and are considered to be reproduced verbatim.
The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which only a preferred embodiment is shown by way of example. The single figure shows a particularly preferred embodiment of a horseshoe in an axonometric representation.
The figure shows a particularly preferred embodiment of a horseshoe 1, in particular a horse horseshoe, with a base body 2 comprising metal.
A horseshoe 1 is a fitting for the hooves of ungulates, for example horses, which, in particular with nails, can be attached to the hooves of ungulates. The purpose of the horseshoe is to protect the hoof of the ungulate from wear and tear, especially on hard ground. The horseshoe 1 may in particular have receiving openings 7, by means of which the horseshoe 1 can be fastened to a hoof by means of connecting means, in particular nails.
The base body 2 may in particular be formed from an electrically conductive material, in particular steel or an alloy comprising aluminum. In addition to good mechanical properties, these materials are also particularly well suited for applying a powder coating layer.
The main body 2 can be shaped differently. According to the particularly preferred embodiment in the figure it can be provided that the main body 2 is bent substantially U-shaped, wherein the main body has a, hidden in the figure base and a top surface 4. The base surface and the top surface 4 may be connected according to the figure by means of a lateral surface 5. Such horseshoes 1 are used in particular for 3/9 ······················································································· ···· · · ······· · t · ..... 3 ...... 33961 / lh
Horses used. The shape of the horseshoe 1 according to the particularly preferred embodiment is also referred to as horseshoe-shaped. The skilled person, however, also a variety of other, deviating from this form, forms known.
It is provided that at least one outer circumferential surface 3 of the main body 2 has a powder coating layer. The outer circumferential surface 3 may in particular be a partial region of the lateral surface 5, which is directed outwards. The portion of the lateral surface 5, which is directed inward, may be referred to in particular as an inner circumferential surface 6.
The powder coating layer is a layer which has been applied by a powder coating method. In this case, at least part of the main body 2 is coated with a powder coating, which is first applied as an electrostatically charged powder on the base body 2 and is secured in a further step under the action of heat. The powder coating layer may in particular contain epoxy and / or polyester resins as binders.
In this case, it can be provided, in particular, that essentially the entire main body 2 has the powder coating layer. As a result, essentially the entire main body 2 can be protected against wear.
By using color pigments in the powder coating, the powder coating layer can in particular have a signal color. For example, a signal color may be red or neon yellow, or another color that stands out sharply from the naturally occurring colors. By using a signal color, the visibility of the ungulate can be improved, whereby, for example, a quick finding of a runaway ungulate animal in poor visibility conditions can be achieved.
Particularly preferably, it can be provided that the powder coating layer is formed luminescent. A luminescent powder coating layer emits light of its own accord, whereby the powder coating layer, and thus the powder coating layer 4, 9 · · · · · · · · ··········· ··········· · «« ..... * 4 * * ·. · * 33961 / lh
Horseshoe 1, especially noticeable and well visible. In particular, the powder coating layer may be formed phosphorescent. Thus, the studded with the horseshoe 1 ungulate is well visible even in the dark. A luminescent and / or phosphorescent powder coating layer can be achieved by the use of luminescent and / or phosphorescent pigments in the coating powder.
Particularly preferably, it can further be provided that the powder coating layer comprises effect pigments. Effect pigments here are pigments which impart additional properties such as angle-dependent color or gloss changes to the powder coating layer. By using such effect pigments, the powder coating layer has light effects, such as these rarely occur in nature. Such effect pigments, in particular when in motion, ie when the ungulate moves away, have a strong visual signal effect, as a result of which the visibility is additionally improved.
In particular, it can be provided that the powder coating layer has at least one retroreflective element. In this case, the powder coating layer may in particular have a multiplicity of retroreflective elements. Such retroreflective elements may be, for example, platelet-shaped luster pigments which, when properly positioned, reflect a light beam substantially in the direction of the light source, whereby a strong optical signal effect, in particular in the dark, can be achieved.
Particularly preferably, it can further be provided that the horseshoe 1 has a radio transmitter. The radio transmitter can be integrated in particular in the main body 2. As a result, the studded with the horseshoe 1 ungulate can be found well by means of a suitable receiver for receiving the signal of the radio transmitter.
In particular, it can be provided that the horseshoe 1 has a receiver for the signals of a radio navigation method. Such a radio navigation method can be carried out, for example, by means of the Global Positioning System or the Galileo System. 5/9 ··································································································· ···· »· ♦ · ..... 5 ...... 33961 / lh
It can further be provided that the receiver for the signals of a radio navigation method is connected to an evaluation unit, which determines the location of the receiver from the signals of a radio navigation method, and outputs the location of the receiver to the radio transmitter. The receiver for the signals of a radio navigation method and the evaluation unit can be arranged in particular in the base body 2. As a result, the location of the horseshoe 1, and thus also of the studded with the horseshoe 1 ungulate, can be determined particularly reliable without an additional radio transmitter needs to be mounted on ungulate, or must be introduced into the ungulate operatively.
